What Travel Lacrosse Actually Costs, By Age and By Region
Lacrosse's cost structure looks deceptively affordable on paper. Gear alone runs $500–$1,200, but that number doesn't include club dues, tournament fees, or travel, which is where lacrosse families' real spending lands. And because lacrosse is still regionally concentrated, where you live changes your cost picture more than it does in most other sports on this site.

The Regional Cost Multiplier: the Lacrosse-Specific Factor
Lacrosse remains more geographically concentrated than soccer, basketball, or baseball. Families in traditional hotbeds (parts of the Northeast and mid-Atlantic) have shorter travel distances to high-level competition and exposure events. Families outside those regions often pay significantly more in travel costs to reach the same caliber of tournaments, flights and multi-night hotel stays instead of a weekend drive. If you're outside a hotbed region, budget materially more for travel than the base ranges above suggest.
